I feel the greatest benefit of attending the PreFLITE course was to practice using the language learning exercises with a native speaker of another language. Another benefit was having plenty of time to ask all the questions about how what we were learning would play out in the real world.

If they don’t think that 3-4 days and a few dollars are a “worth it” investment before heading out, I wonder whether they should be going at all. I would require it for anyone joining me (and I don’t require much).
